Terms and Conditions of Hire

Vehicle Arrival

A grace period of up to 15 minutes may apply where a vehicle arrives late due to adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion, road accidents, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Vehicle Availability

All bookings are subject to vehicle availability. Customers are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Damage to Company Property

Any damage caused to a company vehicle or other company property by a passenger or members of their party during the period of hire will be charged at the full cost of repair, replacement, or cleaning.

Authorised Drivers and Insurance

No person other than an authorised Bridge Taxis driver is permitted to drive a company vehicle.

Provided that the legal passenger capacity is not exceeded and these terms are followed, vehicles are insured against damage resulting from collisions, fire, and theft. Insurance also covers the driver's legal liability to passengers in the event of an accident, subject to the relevant insurance policy terms and conditions.

Luggage and Personal Property

Although reasonable care will be taken, Bridge Taxis cannot accept responsibility for any loss of or damage to luggage or personal belongings carried in, left in, or removed from the vehicle during or after the period of hire.

Route Taken

Unless the client provides specific instructions, the driver will travel by the route that, in their professional judgement, is the most appropriate and practical for the conditions on the day.

Delays

Bridge Taxis cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by circumstances outside the company's reasonable control, including traffic congestion, road closures, accidents, adverse weather conditions, or other unforeseen events.

Termination of Hire

The driver may terminate the hire if the client or any member of their party causes excessive delays, behaves in a disorderly, abusive, or unsafe manner, or is considered by the driver to be unfit to travel safely.

Vehicle Soiling and Cleaning Charges

If a passenger is sick or causes the vehicle to be excessively soiled, a cleaning charge of £70 will apply. Additional charges may apply where specialist cleaning or repairs are required.

Smoking and Vaping

For the comfort, safety, and consideration of all passengers and drivers, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in all company vehicles.

Extending a Booking

If you wish to extend your booking, an additional charge of £25 per hour will apply.

Any extension is subject to the continued availability of both the driver and vehicle and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Delayed Flights

In the event of a flight delay, the driver will wait for approximately 30 minutes after the scheduled flight arrival time.

After this period, an additional charge of £15 per hour, plus any applicable parking costs, may be charged. Continued waiting is subject to the availability of the driver and vehicle.

Vehicle Breakdown or Unavailability

Our vehicles are serviced and maintained to high standards. However, in the unfortunate event of a mechanical breakdown or other unforeseen vehicle issue, Bridge Taxis cannot accept responsibility for any resulting delay or disruption.

We will make every reasonable effort to provide a suitable alternative vehicle of a similar type and class, subject to availability.

Passenger Numbers and Pricing

The agreed price is based on the number of passengers stated at the time of booking and included in the booking confirmation or contract.

If the number of passengers changes, the vehicle required and the agreed price may also change. Any changes must be communicated to Bridge Taxis as soon as possible and may be subject to vehicle availability.
